Manhattan Saxophone Quartet gave a two day residency at Union College in Schenectady, NY on February 11-12 of 2018.  Concerts in the Emerson Auditorium on Sunday, February 11th at 3pm and on Monday, February 12th at 1pm.

MSQ premiered a new work by Kyle Tiemann-Strauss at the Frederick Loewe Theatre (35 W Fourth Street)

2014

 

November 11, 2014 - MSQ performed pieces by composers Rex Isenberg and Alex Burtzos on a joint concert entitled "2 x4" with the JACK string quartet at the DiMenna Center's Benzaquen Hall.  Check out a performance video from the concert here.

 

November 1, 2014 - Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center

MSQ presented a free concert of saxophone quartet music through the ages to commemorate the 200th birthday of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of our instrument.

 

October 17, 2014 - Manhattan School of Music, Carla Bossi-Comelli Studio

MSQ performed Alex Burtzos' The Revivalist on a concert of the composer's music.  Check out a performance video from the concert here.

 
March 30, 2014 - Church of the Intercession, NYC
MSQ presented a program along with the Uptown Brass Quintet. The two ensembles combined at the end of the concert to premier a work by Rex Isenberg for saxophone quartet and brass quintet.

MSQ performed one work on the Queer Urban Orchestra's "QUOtets" chamber music concert.

MSQ premiere of J. Mark Stambaugh's Street of Apparitions, A Canonic Maze for Consort of Saxophones at the Manhattan School of Music faculty composers' concert.

 

October 6, 2013 — Harrisburg Wednesday Club, Carlisle, PA​

MSQ Recital includeded works by Bach, Glazunov, Bozza, Noon, Cowell, Turpin, and Joplin. 4 pm at the First Lutheran Church of Carlisle.
